Jassowol moved to ventilator support
Struggling for life for nearly a month now, Jagdev Singh Jassowal, 80, founder of popular Professor Mohan Singh Mela, has been moved to ventilator support at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH). Regarded as 'Baba Bohar of Punjab', Jassowal has suffered kidney and liver failure.
Struggling for life for nearly a month now, Jagdev Singh Jassowal, 80, founder of popular Professor Mohan Singh Mela, has been moved to ventilator support at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH). Regarded as 'Baba Bohar of Punjab', Jassowal has suffered kidney and liver failure.
His younger brother, Inderjit Singh Grewal, told HT that Jassowal's condition was deteriorating. "Since Sunday morning, he is on ventilator support, and there is no control over his blood pressure. The doctors are trying their best, but sadly his condition has not improved."
Ever since he got admitted in the hospital in November end, several writers, poets, singers and many others have paid him a visit.
His attending doctor, Raju Singh Chinna, said, "After complete failure of kidney and liver, there is a lot of pressure on the heart. With the blood pressure not being stable, he has been moved to ventilator support.
