Two prominent families of the city are engaged in the case where the businessman, Ram Kumar Kalyan, and his wife Om Lata are accused for attempting to murder their daughter-in-law Renuka and killing Renuka's brother Shramveer.

The incident had taken place at the residence of Kalyan at Sector 14 here on April 22, 2008.

After shooting down his sister's husband Nabheet Kalyan over a domestic dispute, Shramveer had allegedly attempted to committed suicide.

The prosecution alleged that while Shramveer was still breathing, Kalyan pumped bullet and killed him on the spot. Later, he allegedly shot at Renuka causing her severe bullet injuries.

Backed with scientific evidences, the prosecution is demanding strict action against the accused duo.
