Ludhiana: Woman hangs self
Infuriated over a dispute with her husband and in-laws, a woman ended her life by hanging herself from a ceiling fan on Saturday. The victim has been identified as Gurmeet Kaur, 33, wife of farmer Sukhwinder Singh of Rurka village.

Infuriated over a dispute with her husband and in-laws, a woman ended her life by hanging herself from a ceiling fan on Saturday.
The victim has been identified as Gurmeet Kaur, 33, wife of farmer Sukhwinder Singh of Rurka village.
In his complaint, victim’s father Joginder Singh of Chunni Majra village of Fatehgarh Sahib said his daughter’s son Gurjot called him up and informed him that his mother had hanged herself from a fan.
Joginder alleged that Sukhwinder and his family used to harass her over petty issues, owing to which she ended her life.
The Dehlon Police booked Sukhwinder, his mother Gurdev Kaur and sister Baljit Kaur for abetment to suicide. Manhunt had been launched to arrest the absconding trio.
