Man booked for kidnapping 14-year-old on pretext of marriage

The Basti Jodhewal police booked a man for kidnapping a 14-year-old on Thursday. The accused has been identified as Manoj Kumar of West Bengal.
In her complaint, Manju Devi, a resident of Indira Colony, alleged that the accused has kidnapped her 14-year-old daughter on the pretext of marriage.
A case under Sections 363 and 366 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act has been registered against the accused. ASI Gurvinder Singh, who is investigating the case, said the police had launched a manhunt for arrest of the accused.
