Minor CMCH patient needs financial help

Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) has appealed for financial help for the treatment of a 16-year-old female patient, Lovely. Lovely was admitted to CMCH with severe head injury, following which she underwent emergency surgery at department of neurosurgery at the hospital on February 4.

Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) has appealed for financial help for the treatment of a 16-year-old female patient, Lovely.

Lovely was admitted to CMCH with severe head injury, following which she underwent emergency surgery at department of neurosurgery at the hospital on February 4.

Dr Sarvpreet Singh Grewal of CMCH, said though Lovely's health was improving, she was unable to the medical bills, as she belonged to an underprivileged family. Her father is a labourer.

Dr Grewal said the patient was on ventilator support earlier, but was now breathing on her own.
The approximate total cost of surgery, hospital stay and medicines is Rs 2 lakh.

In view of patient's poor economic condition, the hospital has appealed to residents to come forward and donate for the treatment of poor patients.

The cheques in the name of “Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana” can be deposited in the medical superintendent's office with - for Lovely, Hospital Unit No: C7426015 - written at the back of the cheque.
