MLA challenges SAD to hold civic body elections

Former Congress MLA Harmander Singh Jassi has claimed that the SAD was not conducting elections to the municipal corporation as its feared defeat and loss of face for Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal.

"Harsimrat has not sanctioned a single penny for the citizens from the Rs 25 crore. He got from Central government as MP. People will simply reject such a leader and the SAD will be irreparably damaged."

Jassi is eyeing a Lok Sabha seat from the Bathinda constituency.

District Congress president Ashok Kumar, former minister Chiranji Lal Garg, Rupinder Bindra and other local leaders were present.
