Notorious gangster Dilpreet Singh Dhahan’s mother and sister have appealed to him to surrender before court. Talking to mediapersons at Dhadhi village near Kiratpur Sahib in Rupnagar district on Tuesday, Surinder Kaur said her son’s life could be saved if he surrenders and it will also let the family live a peaceful life.

Dilpreet had claimed responsibility for the attack on Punjab singer Parmish Verma in Mohali in April and is also accused of issuing extortion threats to another popular singer, Gippy Grewal, last week.

His sister Ramanpreet Kaur said the family doesn’t believe that Dilpreet could issue threats to anyone. She appealed to him to reveal the truth by presenting himself before the a court of law.

Dilpreet belongs to Dhahan vilalge near Nurpur Bedi. His mother has started living at her maternal village, Dhadhi, along with his sister after the death of his father a few months back.

Dilpreet had allegedly also demanded extortion money from a businessman in Nangal, following which his six alleged accomplices were arrested.
