Giving this information, Civil Lines polices station SHO Lakhwinder Singh said that after getting a tip-off that accused Kaka Masih was seen moving around Sagarpura village, the police laid a trap and arrested him.

After his interrogation, the police also recovered the weapon used by him in the crime.

Kaka Masih, a resident of Sagarpura, and his waiter colleague Sikandar Masih, a resident of Prem Nagar Bohra Wala, had gone to Jammu last week to serve in a marriage party, where they had a tiff with each other over the issue of dividing tip.

On June 27, the two came back to Batala where a fresh brawl took place between them over the same issue. Kaka and his accomplice Saba stabbed Sikandar with a sharp-edged weapon and the latter died on the spot.
