National Employment Mission to open doors for self employment

Hamirpur deputy commissioner Ashish Singhmar on Wednesday said thousands of persons in the district would be able to start their own avocations for livelihood under the National Employment Mission.

Hamirpur deputy commissioner Ashish Singhmar on Wednesday said thousands of persons in the district would be able to start their own avocations for livelihood under the National Employment Mission.

Addressing a meeting of district officers here, the DC said during the year 2013-14, as many as 230 self-help groups of women were constituted to help the women stand on their feet.

He further said a sum of Rs 31 lakh would be spent to help them.

Singhmar said the administration was all set to help women, as they were the real saviour of every family.

He further said the administration would also provide land for setting up of rural bazaar at various places of the district so that the material manufactured by the self-help groups could be sold on reasonable rates.
