Nigerian arrested for criminal intimidation

The city police have arrested a Nigerian citizen, Pedro Cubi, a student of Punjab College of Technical Education, Baddowal, under section 294 (obscene act), 323 ( voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation.

The city police have arrested a Nigerian citizen, Pedro Cubi, a student of Punjab College of Technical Education, Baddowal, under section 294 (obscene act), 323 ( voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation.

Ankit Chawla, a resident of Mohar Singh Nagar, in his complaint to the Sarabha Nagar police, alleged that he, along with his family members, had gone to MBD Mall on Monday. "When we were strolling in the mall, the Nigerian national started teasing my sister-in-law and made obscene signs. When I objected to it, he beat me up and threatened to kill me," he stated in his complaint to the police.

Inspector Harpal Sing Grewal said Pedro Cubi, a resident of Bairro Cacuco in Nigeria, had been arrested and issue has been brought to the notice of Nigerian embassy in New Delhi.
