The action was taken on the complaint of owner of Prem Arms House at Lahori Gate, who alleged that the officer used to take bribes for issuing no-objection certificate (NOC), which is required before carrying out any construction work. (HT Representative Image)
The order in this regard was issued by secretary, local government, DP Reddy, who, while suspending the officer, said that the chargesheet against him will be issued soon.
The copy of the order has been sent to the municipal corporation commissioner.
The action was taken on the complaint of owner of Prem Arms House at Lahori Gate, who alleged that the officer used to take bribes for issuing no-objection certificate (NOC), which is required before carrying out any construction work.
The complainant said the officer didn’t issue an NOC to him, after which he gathered evidence against the fire officer through Right To Information application.
He also alleged that the officer had two people working for him as agents, who seek illegal gratification on his behalf to get the files cleared.
