Patiala: PSPCL organises 40th All India Football Tournament

The 40th All India Electricity Sports Control Board Football Tournament organised by the Punjab state power corporation limited (PSPCL) began at Patiala on Friday morning.

Around 350 players and organisers from 18 electricity utilities from across the country are taking part in the event. The tournament was inaugurated by director of distribution, PSPCL, Gurbachan Singh Bachi.

The tournament started with oath-taking ceremony by the players in which Sarabjeet Singh, captain of PSPCL team motivated players and also expressed hope that they will perform with true sportsman spirit.

Bachi also interacted with players and lauded them for bringing laurels to PSPCL and the state with their outstanding performances. He also motivated the players by highlighting the various rewards announced by the state government.

On this occasion, Subhash Arora, director finance, Surinder Pall, director commercial, MR Parhar, director generation and KS Kohli, engineer-in-chief of metering, PSPCL, were also present.
