Proclaimed offender arrested after 18 months

Police have arrested a proclaimed offender (PO), Jaswinder Singh of Langeana village, after 18 months on Sunday. SSP Kamaljit Singh said that a case was registered against the accused under the NDPS Act on July, 12, 2009, at Baghapurana police station.

SSP Kamaljit Singh said that a case was registered against the accused under the NDPS Act on July, 12, 2009, at Baghapurana police station. " During a naka, the police had stopped a truck near Baghapurana, but the driver Jaswinder Singh fled. More than 50 bags of poppy husk were recovered from the truck," said the SSP. Jaswinder has been remanded to police custody for 14 days.
