The activists of the Sikh organisation named Satkar Committee alleged that followers of DJJS were holding a religious gathering near Tarn Taran and demanded a stop to it but the police denied the same.
The activists of Satkar Committee, who had gathered at Guru Arjan Dev Sarai, gave a memorandum to the police that religious gatherings of DJJS must not be allowed.

They also said that if police failed to take action, they themselves would reach the venue of their functions and stop them.

On Monday also, a clash had erupted between the followers of DJJS and Satkar Committee. The clash that witnessed firing and stone pelting had left 13 persons injured.

Since then, there is heavy police deployment in the Tarn Taran district. DSP Tarn Taran city, Sukhwinder Singh said, "No function was organised by the DJJS followers in Tarn Taran today. Heavy police force is deployed to avoid any sort of clash. Things are peaceful but the police are vigilant."
