Sidhu in protocol row, takes guard of honour with Congmen in tow; cops face action

When it comes to protocol, Navjot Singh Sidhu can unfurl a controversy or two. The Punjab local bodies minister, who presided over the Independence Day function at Ferozepur on Tuesday, took the guard of honour with three Congress leaders in tow, including former minister Inderjit Singh Zira, against protocol. Two cops of Punjab police win medals at WPFG games in USA

Two cops of Punjab police have won six medals in the ongoing World Police and Fire Games (WPFG) at Los Angeles, USA. Olympian and ace shooter Avneet Sidhu clinched one gold, one silver and two bronze medals in different rifle shooting competitions, said a release issued by Punjab government. Sidhu is posted as deputy superintendent of police in Punjab. Mother, her paramour booked as 17-yr-old girl kills self in Moga

A 17-year-old girl committed suicide by consuming poison at her home in Mubarakpur Augarh village in Dharamkot subdivision of Moga on Monday, as she was upset over her mother’s relationship with a man in the village, police said. 12-yr-old raped on way to I-Day event: No arrests by Chandigarh police yet
