SAD circle president 'assaulted'

Two people have been booked for assaulting the Mandi Gobindgarh circle president of Shiromani Akali Dal, Harmeet Singh Khalsa, on Saturday. Dhillon is currently undergoing treatment at the civil hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh.

Khalsa told the police that Chander Shekhar and Ramesh Kumar had hit him with an iron rod late on Saturday.

When mediapersons contacted the suspects, they denied having hit Dhillon, saying he had received the injuries after falling on the ground.
