Sarpanch found murdered in Hoshiarpur

Sajjan Singh, sarpanch of Parowal village in Garhshankar subdivision, was found murdered at his house on Wednesday. He was hit hard on his forehead with a blunt weapon.

As per the details, police received information around 6.30 am that Sajjan Singh (60) was found murdered under mysterious circumstances. His body was lying on the floor in a room adjoining his karyana shop. His wife Joginder Kaur said that he used to sleep in that room which was a few yards away from their house. Early morning when she went there to wake him up, he was lying dead.

Garhshankar SHO Jatinder Singh said that they had rounded up two-three suspects.

Meanwhile, a murder case was registered against the unindentified persons.
