The SET examination was earlier scheduled to be held on May 25 but was postponed after the May 6 unrest on the campus.

Demanding resignation of director Sunil Pandey, the students had created ruckus and set the record room, laboratories and several vehicles and rooms on fire besides damaging public property.

The students had also set the record room on fire due to which applications and other important information about candidates has been gutted.
According to information, around 18,000 students applied for the entrance test.

According to the university notification, both offline and online admit cards will be available on the website from July 5.

Though, the SLIET authorities were to decide on June 2 as to when to start proceedings in the campus, no decision has been taken yet.

Registrar AS Dhaliwal failed to give more details saying they were yet to hold a meeting to take a decision on it. "We will hold a meeting of senior officials at the earliest," he said.
