Survey begins in Nakodar for schemes under APDRP

The power ministry had sanctioned Rs 10.08 crore for Nakodar for reconducting of lines at 11 KV level and below, load bifurcation, feeder separation, aerial bunched conducting in dense areas, replacement of electromagnetic energy meters with tamper proof electronicmeters.

APDR junior engineer Dharminder Kumar told HT that the focus of the programme was on actual demonstrable performance in terms of sustained loss reduction. He said under the scheme, conductors of 11 kv line would be replaced. High capacity transformers would be installed. Electronic meters would be installed in place of mechanical meters.

He claimed that works worth Rs 8.45 crore have been allotted to Godrej and Boyce Manufacturing Company and the work would be completed in 26 months.

Project manager Shiv Kumar said that the survey of four 11 KV feeders have started, which would be completed within 40 days.
