Travel agent dupes man of R4.13 lakh
The police of Division No. 8 on Saturday booked a travel agent, Sachin Jain, of Fountain Chowk for duping a man of Rs 4.13 lakh on the pretext of sending him to Australia. Manpreet Singh, a resident of Bilga village of Phillaur, complained that the accused took Rs 4.13 lakh from him and had promised him to send Australia.

Manpreet Singh, a resident of Bilga village of Phillaur, complained that the accused took Rs 4.13 lakh from him and had promised him to send Australia.
He said the accused neither sent him abroad nor returned the money and when he demanded his money back the accused threatened him.
ASI Jagdip Rai said the accused was absconding and the police were conducting raids to arrest him.
