University committed towards benefits of pensioners: PAU V-C

Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Pensioners' Welfare Association's general body meeting was held on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by more than 200 members in which BS Dhillon, vice-chancellor, Punjab Agricultural University, gave a presentation to members. The vice-chancellor explained achievements of his tenure in research, teaching and extension as well as in financial make up.

He told to members that maximum of the amount of arrears had been paid to pensioners. "All PAU pensioners have been working very hard to fulfill various objectives and aims of the university. So we will ensure that every pensioner gets all the benefits and timely pensions,"said Dhillon.

While giving vote of thanks to the vice-chancellor, the president of the association, Sukhdev Singh, appreciated efforts of the vice-chancellor for getting requisite funds to clear arrears of pensioners and for extending every possible help and benefit.

He also requested him to release the remaining minor arrears such as leave travel allowance (LTA), old age allowance, and arrear of revised pension.
