Women will bring change to Haryana: Renuka Bishnoi
Ahead of the assembly elections Haryana, Adampur MLA Renuka Bishnoi called for the women in the state to make a "decisive change" in the state.
At a district women's convention organised by the Haryana Janhit Congress's (HJC) state women's wing for the release of the party's manifesto for women on Monday at Hisar, the MLA said that women of Haryana have now woken up to their rights and will play an important role in changing the face of the state.
Claiming that the state is no longer safe for women, she said that women do not feel safe and cannot move freely.
"Women in state have given up wearing ornaments, because chain snatching incidents have reached a new high," she said, adding that the HJC-BJP alliance would take strict measures against such crimes.
Stating that that the state has become "number one" in crimes against women, HJC women's wing president
Kusum Sharma said the increase in the number of rapes of women of all ages in the state has created a sense of panic among women.
"And yet the government continues to be apathetic to their problems," she said.
