Host Yadavindra Public School (YPS) has won the 25th annual Col Frank Von Goldstein English debate contest while Apoorva Gaurav from Sherwood College, Nainital, was declared the best speaker.

Chief guest Aftab Seth, a former IFS officer, along with members of the School Board of Governors, including Raja Malvinder Singh, gave away prizes to winners.
Welham Boys' School, Dehradun, remained runners-up while Sherwood College, Nainital, finished third.
The two teams to reach the finals were YPS, Patiala, and Welham Boys' School, Dehradun.
The topic for the debate was 'The World is on the Brink of Another Economic Disaster'. The final round was preceded by the hardliner's debate where Sherwood College, Nainital, and St Paul's School, Darjeeling, vied for the third position. The topic for the hardliner's debate was, 'Executive Activism is Encroaching on Judicial Independence'.
