Hundreds of people from Vinay’s native village, Chanda Ghasi, also took part in the protest.

The police claimed a Hindi teacher’s son, angry over Vinay’s liking for his sister, killed him. The police have arrested the teacher and her husband and also detained her two children in this connection.

Vinay’s father Manbahal Mahto and mother Kashila Devi, said the allegation that his son liked a girl was wrong. They demanded a CBI inquiry alleging that police have given a new twist in the case. The state has not ordered a CBI probe despite repeated demands from parents, said AAP member Alok Sharan.
