Baahubali will soon be available as comics, video games

SS Rajamouli, Arka Mediaworks and character entertainment company Graphic India will soon be coming out with a series of original comic books, novels, animation and video games.

Talk of marketing moves to cash in on the craze for a film, and this one will be ranked somewhere high up: SS Rajamouli’s 2015 epic film Baahubali will now be available in a series of original comic books, novels, animation and video games. Being developed in collaboration with the filmmaker, Arka Mediaworks and character entertainment company Graphic India, this promotion will be on multiple platforms, including gaming, digital content and merchandise.

“Extending the world of Baahubali beyond movies allows us to reach a larger audiences and that is really exciting for me,” said director SS Rajamouli. “We are happy to be collaborating with Graphic India who I believe have the best knowledge and experience in this space.”

Graphic and Arka are also working on a larger animated project, tentatively entitled, Baahubali: the Lost Legends. It is being developed and produced by Rajamouli, Shobu Yarlagadda, CEO of Arka Mediaworks and Graphic India.
