This year started off on an interesting note for Priya Bapat. She played a rather quirky and different character in Pratima Joshi’s Aamhi Doghi. The film went on to receive critical acclaim and Priya was praised for the realistic portrayal of Savi. The Vazandar (2016) actor is now ready with Gajendra Ahire’s Pimpal also starring veteran Dilip Prabhavalkar. She is seen as Prabhavalkar’s doctor in the film.

On her experience of working with him, she says, “Dilip kaka is always at the top of his energy. I have known him since a long time, but we had never worked together. It was an enriching experience to work with him. People tell me that I am very chirpy and bubbly on sets but Dilip kaka is even more energetic than me.”
Talking about working with Gajendra, Priya shares, “Gajendra and I have been playing hide and seek for so many years now. He has offered me roles before but I wasn’t able to take them up. This time too, I had to say no because I was shooting for Vazandar and had put on a lot of weight. Fortunately, he waited for me and I was able to take this offer up. I play a small yet important role in this film.”
Priya will be next seen in Nagesh Kukunoor’s Mayanagari #cityofdreams.
