"The film's first look motion poster will be released at midnight on the occasion of Vijay sir's birthday," the film's director A.R Murugadoss said. This is the second time Murugadoss and Vijay have teamed up after Thuppakki.

Meanwhile, Vijaya's fan are planning celebrate his birthday, but since he will be busy shooting for Kaththi, the celebrations will be low-key. "We have come to learn that Vijay sir will be shooting for Kaththi. He is not expected to be in Chennai. Therefore, we don't plan to have grand celebrations," a member of Vijay's fan club said.
