The release date of Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu, directed by Koratala Siva, has been announced. The film produced by DVV Danayya of DVV Entertainments is slated to release on April 27, 2018. The political thriller has Mahesh Babu playing the role of a chief minister and the film stars Kiara Advani as the female lead. This is the second time that Mahesh Babu and Koratala Siva are working together, after their 2015 film Srimanthudu.
Initially, the film was expected to release for Sankranti 2018 in January. However, the date was pushed to Summer 2018 when the work for the film was delayed. A good portion of the film was shot in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad and the rest in London. The film also faced a bit of trouble. Quite recently, when the team was in Lucknow for a shoot, a few stills of Mahesh Babu from the sets were leaked online. Director Siva had then requested his fans to not share the stills as the team had put in a lot of effort in their appearance. Also, they did not get permission from the Archaeological Survey of India to shoot at one of the locations in Lucknow, due to which they had to return.
Bharath Ane Nenu will be Mahesh Babu’s next release after Spyder, which has turned out to be a big failure. After consecutive failures, Mahesh Babu needs a box office success to keep in par with the young crop of actors like Allu Arjun and Jr NTR, whose films seem to be performing much better at the box office.
