Shiva Rajkumar’s Mufti mints Rs 15 crore in first five days, Sandalwood rejoices

Directed by Narthan, Mufti stars Sriimurali and Shanvi Srivastava in lead. Shiva Rajkumar is playing a pivotal role.

Kannada film Mufti, starring Shiva Rajkumar, has done very well at the Sandalwood box office. According to a report in The News Minute, the film has made approximately Rs 15 crore in the first five days. With a good word-of-mouth publicity that it is enjoying, the film is expected to perform better in the coming days.

Quoting other reports, The News Minute said that producer Jayanna confirmed that the film had made over Rs 15 crore. It was released on about 250 screens and, going by current trends, the film is expected to break quite a few Kannada film records.

Directed by Narthan, the film stars Sriimurali and Shanvi Srivastava in lead roles, with Shiva Rajkumar playing a pivotal role.

Mufti, which released on December 1, have been getting positive reviews and has been called gritty, distinct and perfectly cast. A cop vs don drama, the film is about an undercover cop and how he tackles the underworld. Shiva Rajkumar, who appears after the interval, has been praised for his controlled performance while Srimurali continues with his Ugramm avatar.

The star cast also includes Vasishta N Simha, Devaraj, Chaya Singh, Sadhu Kokila, Prakash Belawadi and Chikkanna.
