Vijay Deverakonda plans to release his film in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada while Sivakarthikeyan’s film directed by PS Mithran will release in Tamil.

In what could be called a rare coincidence, both Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Deverakonda will have the same title for their next film – Hero. The makers of the respective projects on Thursday revealed the title and it caught the fans of both the actors totally off guard.

Sivakarthikeyan’s new film with director PS Mithran has been titled Hero, and the project was officially launched in a customary ceremony on Thursday. Kalyani Priyadarshan, daughter of veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan, makes her Tamil debut with this film. Siva’s film will be produced by KJR Studios and the project marks his first time collaboration with Mithran.

Meanwhile, Deverakonda has teamed up with debutant director Anand Annamalai for a Telugu project titled Hero, in which he plays a professional biker. The film is being bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers who, via a tweet on Wednesday night, announced that Hero will be released in all the south Indian languages including Tamil. The regular shooting of Deverakonda’s Hero will commence from April 22 in New Delhi. Actress Malavika Mohanan has been signed the leading lady.

It’d be interesting to see if both the projects will continue to retain the same title or think about changing at some point. Since Deverakonda’s Hero will also release in Tamil, it has to be seen if Sivakarthikeyan’s film will also be released with the same title. Both the films are eyeing release in the second half of the year.
