Team behind Tamil film Metro to work again on its Telugu remake

The team that worked on the hit Tamil film Metro will reunite again to work on the Telugu remake of the film.

Tamil crime thriller Metro, which has been unanimously raved by critics and audiences, will be remade in Telugu and the same team will be at the helm.

Tamil film Metro has been directed by Ananda Krishnan and stars Shirish and Bobby Simhaa.

“Metro producer Jaya Krishnan will produce the Telugu remake. Ananda Krishnan who directed the film will helm its remake too. Shirish, instead of playing the protagonist, will play the baddie,” said a source from the film’s unit.

The source added that the makers are in talks with actor Naga Chaitanya to play the lead. Metro, which explores the psyche of modern-day criminals, portrayed chain snatching in great detail and realistically.

The film’s Kannada remake rights were sold even before release.
