Thalapthy 62 first look: Vijay’s film title was revealed by AR Murugadoss as Sarkar.

On the eve of actor Vijay’s birthday, the first look of his upcoming film was revealed by the makers on Sun TV. The movie is titled Sarkar and will star Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. In the first look poster, Vijay is seen ready to light his cigarette in his signature style. In the background is the nightscape of a city and Vijay himself is seen dressed in a sharp suit for the film. Sarkar is expected to be a fast paced action thriller.

AR Murugadoss spoke on the occasion and said that the film will release on Diwali 2018. He also said, “After Thupakki and Kaththi, we wanted to give something new and better to the audience, and hence we came up with this film called Sarkar,” he said.

The film will also star Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in a pivotal role while Radha Ravi and Yogi Babu playing supporting characters in the film. The music for the film is being scored by AR Rahman, who also worked on Vijay’s last outing, Mersal.

Vijay’s upcoming film is produced by Sun Pictures and directed by AR Murugadoss. The actor-director duo have worked together before in Thupakki and Kaththi and this is their third collaboration which has raised expectations from fans about the film. This happens to be Vijay’s 62nd film, and the filmmakers are working hard to make it to the release date as planned. Vijay’s Sarkar will clash at the box office with Suriya’s NGK directed by Selvaraghavan. Reports also suggest that Ajith’s Viswasam might join the fray as well.
