Akshara Haasan is kicked about her Tamil debut with Thala Ajith in Vivegam, a spy thriller slated for August 10 release. The film marks the third consecutive time collaboration of Ajith and director Siva and the expectations are running wild on the film, tipped to be made on a lavish budget. The film introduces Vivek Oberoi to Tamil filmdom as the antagonist and he is quite kicked about the opportunity to share screen space alongside Ajith. Akshara Haasan, too, is thrilled to be part of the project and she can’t stop gushing about the working experience.
Talking about the project, Akshara said in a statement: “I was thoroughly impressed with my character when Siva sir narrated it to me. It had so much importance and it plays such a vital role in taking the story forward. It has multiple layers and I just loved doing this role and this movie. Siva sir was so encouraging and the whole unit was filled with positivity throughout,” she said. On teaming up with Ajith, a jubilant Akshara said, “Ajith sir was a delight to work with. He is so unassuming and helpful to everyone. Since our common interest was photography we spoke and discussed a lot about it during the break times. I must say Vivegam is the most positive set I have been on so far. The weather conditions were extreme in Bulgaria and Serbia. The whole team had to work extra hard to shoot in such locales and the fantastic results will be there for everyone to see soon. I am extremely excited and thrilled about the movie’s release.”
The film has been predominantly shot across exotic locations in Europe, especially in places such as Serbia, Austria, Georgia and Slovenia among others. Going by the promos, Ajith looks his stylish best in the film and has also set an example by sporting six-pack abs despite a long history of medical condition. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Vivegam has music by Anirudh Ravichander and it is loosely based on Liam Neeson’s Taken, according to industry grapevine. The film’s audio is likely to be release this month-end.
