Comparison with dad 'ridiculous': Enrique Iglesias

Pop star Enrique Iglesias hates it when people compare him with his father, legendary singer Julio Iglesias. The ‘Hero’ singer thinks its "ridiculous" that he is made to compete with his father and insists that their careers are poles apart.

"Record companies do make you compete a bit, and they did that especially at the beginning of my career. I was just an 18-year-old starting out and to make me compete with my father was a bit ridiculous,” Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.

Meanwhile Iglesias, who is dating Russian tennis sensation Anna Kournikova, recently vouched for his girlfriend’s parenting skills.

"The only thing I can say is that, in my opinion, Anna, whether we are together or not, would be an ideal mother. I think she'd be the perfect mother, and I say it regardless of whether I'd be with her or not,” the singer told People.
