Nicole Kidman pregnant: publicist

This would be the first natural child for the Oscar-winning actress, with country crooner Keith Urban, her publicist says.

Hollywood star Nicole Kidman is expecting her first baby with country crooner Keith Urban, her publicist said on Tuesday. Kidman, who married Urban in Sydney in 2006, adopted two children, Isabella and Connor, with her former husband, actor Tom Cruise.

But this would be the first natural child for the Oscar-winning actress, who last year revealed she miscarried twice during her 10-year marriage to Cruise.

"Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban confirmed today that they are expecting a baby," publicist Wendy Day said in a statement. "The couple are thrilled."

Kidman, who turned 40 in June, had said she would like to have a child with her singer husband, telling a women's magazine in November: "What will be will be. It's in God's hands."

The elegant strawberry blonde, who won an Oscar for her role in The Hours, recently wrapped up filming of her latest project, the Baz Luhrmann epic Australia in which she co-stars with Hugh Jackman.
