COIMBATORE: Nayan Chatterjee completed a grand double in the Euro JK 16 category of the JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship at the Kari Motor Speedway as Ricky Donison, who had jump started on Saturday and was penalised by 10 seconds to be pushed down to sixth spot after winning the race, did an encore on Sunday. Donison, however, managed to make it to the podium on Sunday in third place.
Nayan, Ricky and Krishnaraaj Mahadik went bumper to bumper until Ricky found some space to pull away in the eighth lap. But Ricky’s joy was short-lived as the race stewards penalised him for an early start.
Nayan didn’t need any luck in the fourth race as he recorded the fastest three laps in the race to leave Kush Maini and Donison in his wake.
