MELBOURNE: Ahead of his side’s clash against South Africa, Australian skipper Steve Smith has played down a thigh injury he sustained during his side’s four-wicket defeat to hosts West Indies at Warner Park in St Kitts. Smith, who was the last man to leave the nets during a practice session at Kensington Oval, insisted that he could easily manage a minor strain throughout the ODI series. “I understand my body a lot better these days and I can manage these little injuries,” he said.
