Bagan ride on Chidi's brace, hold Salgaocar

Mohun Bagan did a favour to both East Bengal and Dempo Sports Club by holding Salgaocar to a 2-2 draw in an I-League match at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.

Mohun Bagan did a favour to both East Bengal and Dempo Sports Club by holding Salgaocar to a 2-2 draw in an I-League match at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. The draw has now put Salgaocar almost out of the title race as they now stay on 47 points from 23 matches. And a win for East Bengal and Dempo in all their remaining matches will see them finish ahead of Salgaocar in the league table.

AI ease past JCT
Elsewhere in Kohlapur, Air India registered a much needed 1-0 win against JCT Phagwara. Nigerian striker Okorogor Praise scored the all-important goal in the 54th minute. Following this win Air India now have 24 points from 25 matches while JCT still stay in the relegation zone with 23 points from 23 matches. AI coach Santosh Kashyap was happy that his boys rose to the occasion and he aims to upset Dempo's applecart "We have to sustain the momentum at any cost."
