CWG 2022 Highlights Day 8: Bajrang Punia has won his second consecutive Commonwealth Games gold. Sakshi Malik and Deepak Punia then made it three gold medals for India in wrestling before which Anshu Malik had won silver. Divya Kakran won bronze to make it five wrestling medals for India. The Indian women's hockey team, meanwhile, faced a shootout defeat to Australia.

Later, Sakshi Malik pinner her opponent to win the women's 62kg title and secure India's second wrestling gold. Deepak Punia then made it three for India by beating Pakistan's reigning gold medallist Muhammad Inam in the men's 86kg final. Meanwhile, Anshu Malik lost the women's 57kg final and settled for silver.
