Gurung was a last-minute addition in the Indian contingent for the Birmingham Games. After arriving in Birmingham she was stuck at the airport and checked in to the hotel where the extra officials were lodged.
Angered with situation, Lovlina took to Twitter and slammed the authorities for derailing her preparations for the Games, which starts this week. Sports Ministry was quick to respond to Lovlina's plight and had directed the Indian Olympic Association to work swiftly in this matter.
