And there goes the whistle. Cameroon-born Embolo's goal helps Switzerland win the Group G opener. In the second Group G match of the day, Brazil will be up against Serbia.

This will be their 12th appearance in the World Cup finals. Their best ever finish was in 1934, 1938 and 1954 when they had made the quarterfinals on each ocassion.
