Indian junior Table Tennis teams proved their mettle at the Taiyuan International Junior and Cadet Open, securing second position on the points table below China and bagging gold medal in the under-18 Boys event.

Indian junior Table Tennis teams proved their mettle at the Taiyuan International Junior and Cadet Open, securing second position on the points table below China and bagging gold medal in the under-18 Boys event.

Indian paddlers performed well at all age group events in the tournament held from August 26 to 30 in Taiyuan, China.

In Boys section, Indian U-18 (Team-A) won gold beating the African team, while U-18 (Team-B) secured bronze medal.

In the girls event, Indian U-18 team secured bronze medal, while U-15 (Team-A) lost to Singapore in the finals and secured silver medal and U-15 (Team-B) bagged bronze medal.

In the individual event in boys section (U-18), Harmeet Desai lost to Wang LI Chung-Yi of China in the finals to settle for silver, while in girls section (U-15), Monika Batra lost in the semifinals to be contended with bronze medal.
