Nagal makes semis in Asian Championships

Sumit Nagal made the semifinals of the Asian closed junior tennis championships, underway at the DLTA Complex, on Thursday. The fifth-seeded 15-year-old overcame the challenge posed by second-seeded Young Seok-Kim of Korea.

Sumit Nagal made the semifinals of the Asian closed junior tennis championships, underway at the DLTA Complex, on Thursday. The fifth-seeded 15-year-old overcame the challenge posed by second-seeded Young Seok-Kim of Korea. Though the world No. 36 won the first set and had a better overall game, Nagal refused to give up. He hung on and finally triumphed 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 to set up a last-four stage date with Korea's Deck Hee Lee.
