More than a month of its initial announcement, the Forza Horizon 5 Rally adventure DLC is now live. This paid expansion will come with an arsenal of 10 new cars and a brand new map location called Sierra Nueva, alongside fresh widebody kits for customization. This new expansion also includes some most demanded features like “launch control” and “anti-lag”.

This map which Playground has lamented as Sierra Nueva is the main highlight of the Rally Adventure. There are six different environments mixed together in Sierra and it does effectively look and feels like a part of Mexico. The new vegetation and quarry areas are unlike anything already in Horizon 5.

What is actually anti-lag and launch control in Forza Horizon 5’s New DLC?

Anti-lag is an add-on feature which will be available for all vehicles that come with a turbocharged engine, delivering more torque while producing gritty flame effects and fire-cracker audio. This feature will be prominent for those gamers who love to rev their car’s engine. Via custom tuning players can add an anti-lag turbo system in their vehicle.

The idea behind the addition of anti-lag in Forza Horizon 5 comes from Need for Speed franchise. The anti-lag feature comes with the NFS title as default. Even in NFS players can tune their exhaust sound, while it is impossible in Horizon 5.

Launch controls come into play at drag races. It enables you to get off to the most accurate start while optimizing your vehicle’s acceleration. In Horizon 5 launch control comes with a toggle on or off option. To activate the launch control you have to hold down your e-brake and then accelerate. Your car will catch a quick thrust when you let off the e-brake.
