Income tax payers barred from enrolling in Atal Pension Yojana from Oct 1
The government introduced Atal Pension Yojana on June 1, 2015, to provide social security to workers mainly in the unorganised sector. Subscribers of the scheme get a minimum guaranteed pension of ₹1,000 to ₹5,000 per month after attaining 60 years of age depending on their contributions.

Atal Pension Yojana sees 79 lakh new additions in FY21
During the financial year 2020-21, more than 79 lakh new APY subscribers joined Atal Pension Yojana (APY) leading total enrolments to over 3.02 crore as on March 31, 2021.

Govt lists out steps taken to increase Atal Pension Yojana enrolment
Under the scheme, there are five pension slabs of ₹1000, ₹2000, ₹3000, ₹4000 and ₹5000 which are guaranteed by the government at the attainment of 60 years by the subscriber.
