Traders’ body urges Centre to scrap Chinese JV bid for Vande Bharat trains

The traders body has written to union railway minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday urging him to not allow the bid placed by the Chinese joint venture company CRRC Pioneer Electric (India) Private Limited which is one of the six bidders for the project.

Traders call bandh today to protest sealing drive in Delhi

Prominent markets of Delhi, including Chawri Bazar, Kashmiri Gate, Karol Bagh, Kamla Nagar, Rohini, South Extension, Greater Kailash, Amar Colony Kalkaji, Tughalaqabad, Tilak Nagar, Uttam Nagar, Kirti Nagar are expected to remain closed.

Retailers to move CCI against Flipkart-Walmart deal

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) said that it will move fair trade regulator CCI to file objections on the proposed Walmart-Flipkart deal, claiming that the agreement would lead to an uneven playing field and massive job losses.
