The Maharashtra government has allowed water sports as well as water sports like boating and entertainment/amusement parks to resume as part of phase-wise easing of lockdown restrictions in the state.
After the Central government enacted the Act in 2010 and notified it in 2012, 11 states and almost all union territories have adopted the law. States needs to have their own legislation as public health is a state subject.
