MP schools to reopen for classes 1 to 5 from September 20

  • Madhya Pradesh state government has decided to reopen schools for classes 1 to 5 from September 20 with 50% attendance, said an official.
The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The schools have been asked to follow the Covid-19 protocol to open the elementary classes.(HT file/Representative)

Experts call for reopening of schools

Last year, 167 countries across the world had implemented measures like lockdowns and school closures to prevent transmission of a virus not very well understood at the time. Most countries re-opened schools slowly.

80% school staff have got at least one jab: Centre
