After extended 10 days, Dudhwa Tiger Reserve closes for tourists

The tourist season in Dudhwa Tiger Reserve starts on November 15 in winter and concludes on June 15 before the onset of the monsoon each year. However, owing to the delayed monsoon this year, tourism activities in the Reserve for the 2024-25 season were extended until June 25.

Five tourists fined 25K for drinking during safari in Tadoba

Five tourists in the Tadoba Tiger Reserve in India have been fined ₹5,000 ($68) each for consuming alcohol during a safari. The tourists were under the influence of alcohol while riding in a vehicle within the reserve. The Tadoba Tiger Project aims to deter similar behavior by imposing fines and banning tourists from further visits. The reserve, home to over 130 tigers, is one of the oldest national parks in India.

Madhya Pradesh: India's largest Tiger reserve to be set up in Damoh

The central government has issued a notification approving the proposal to merge the Noradehi Sanctuary with the Rani Durgavati Sanctuary of Damoh district, creating a vast tiger reserve spanning 2,300 square kilometres.
