Earlier this month, it was announced that gross revenues from the gamingindustry in the city, which is regarded as a gambling hub, totalledUS$33.6 billion for 2011.
During 2011, Macau welcomed the opening of the sprawling US$2 billionGalaxy casino complex to its list of attractions, taking the number ofcasinos packed into this tiny destination to 34. And there are plans forplenty more.
The year 2011 saw 28 million people visit the enclave, an all-time record,and at 12.2% rise, year on year.
